On the third redesign, these websites are promoting the popular Blues and Reggae E-Newsletters, Blues Festival E-Guide and Reggae Festival E-Guide - both with a 16K subscriber base and constantly growing. Sites were coded in Strict XHTML, tableless CSS and customized DHTML menu. The E-Newsletters are powered by myNewsletterBuilder. Side projects include the initial development of the first sister E-Newsletter Reggae Festival E-Guide in 2004 for which the Blues was introduced 2 years later. I (Kristine) was the initial designer and publisher of the Reggae E-Guide, and the print magazine Publisher took it on in 2006, and also created the Blues version as well. With the creation of the E-Newsletters was feature and content development and logo design. [10 pages / Fixed Layout]

Took on project in 2008 with maintenance work, and 2nd redesign launched on the 2nd of January ‘09 with plans for a major redesign in the future. Site was originally coded in XHTML and tableless CSS by original creators, and continued with my maintenance and redesign work. Special projects include converting the site from fixed to liquid layout and special photo manipulation work with a repeat trees background in the header with the liquid conversion; also Favicon design and Google submission.

This site is a Web-log — a Website and blog in one — powered by WordPress. Client is able to log in and write articles and manage the basic pages of her website. Cpwrehab.com 2.0, launched on October 16th, 2008 is a redesign for a rehabilitation facility. Site is coded in XHTML and tableless CSS with a customized DHTML menu. Site is designed with oversized type for easier readability for Older Adults and “liquid” scalable for varying browser platforms. Site also includes email encryption and favicon design. ArtEscapesToTheCape.com, launched on September 3rd, 2008 sells a vacation package to Cape Cod. Site is coded in XHTML and tableless CSS with a customized DHTML menu. Launched on August 21st, 2008 this site is coded in tableless XHTML and CSS and customized DHTML menu. Applications implemented include PHPList Email List Management, and Playlist. Brick & Mortar Business

Launched on August 29th, 2008 this site is coded in tableless XHTML, DHTML menu, and CSS 3 with the new transparency technique applied. Applications implemented include Express Email Marketing and WordPress Blog with visual customization. Special coding includes customized DHTML menu, printable Directions, Specials and Events. Scripts include streaming calendar content from Napa’s master arts calendar, fading slideshow, encrypted email and website bookmarking. Unique graphics include a custom map on the Directions page and favicon. Also shot photography on-site and developed content. Site is designed with scalability in mind for future growth, possible ecommerce and clean code for the ability for in-house maintenance. Art and colors inspired by their current business cards. Served as the in-house webmaster (2003-2004) managing new product entries and Web and print graphics design. Initiated standards for SKU and image naming, image weight and text formatting. Created consistent and great-looking product graphics from less-than-perfect art. Designed logos for imprinting on merchandise using Adobe Illustrator. Devised in-house production systems to streamline process. Set up pricing and management of product list database. Optimized graphics for faster download. New product copy editing/writing. Designed 4-color Lightgod Price List (PDF) to appear in a national hardbound catalog.

Contracting on an independent basis (2007-current) for home page code optimization, layout change, graphics creation and adjust META tags for search engine ranking. Latest project includes participation in redesign of ecommerce site with new branding scheme including logo, favicon and icon design (see top image).

Gallery Website

Launched on April 28th, 2008 this site is coded in Strict XHTML, tableless CSS and customized DHTML menu implemented. Fun project which consisted of prototyping design, content recommendations and custom digital art for the header. The Directions page has an associated custom style sheet so that it’s printer-friendly. Installed script for email list management using Constant Contact. [8 pages / Fixed Layout]

This project entailed converting PDF layouts designed by a print designer and making it workable for the Web. Site is coded in XHTML and tableless CSS. Blues & Reggae Magazine Publisher Websites

ReggaeFestivalGuide.com & BluesFestivalGuide.com are my two big babies that I’ve had under my belt for a very long time. The reggae site was taken over by me in 1999 and the blues site first launched in 2002. The sites are the online fronts for the two annual print magazines. My contributions range from content development to online advertising development. The reggae site is on it’s 6th version and the blues is on about it’s 3rd. Each site is approximately 50 pages and both require weekly maintenance. In 2004, I convinced the publisher to start what I branded as the “Reggae Festival E-Guide” e-newsletter - it since has been taken on by several managers and has blossomed into a weekly publication with close to 20k subscribers! Subsequently, the Blues E-Guide launched a couple years later and is just as popular. Big plans are being made for these sites in the future when budget and time permits. This site is an offshore printing service which is coded in HTML transitional with partial CSS. A print designer submitted PDF mockups which I translated into a website. Involvement for this winery website included matching client prototype specifications: PDF’s were delivered and translated into a website in HTML transitional and partial CSS. I am not a Flash designer… however, I did create the animation on the home page this one time for the website and subcontracted the first animation on the first version. [14 pages / fixed layout]

The music promotion website was launched in 2000 requiring weekly updates, and the subsequent festival websites were designed and developed in 2002 — all coded in HTML transitional. Contributions included content recommendations, copy writing/editing, and implementation of message board/forum. Other projects included the design of many flyers and hand bills. In 2004, the site was redesigned and powered by a Content Management System with online ticketing sales functionality.

Recreational Equipment Website

Way back in 2001, I produced a prototype and coding for the home page in HTML transitional adhering to established branding scheme. My main contributions to the company were many Web banner ads, graphics and print media included a 4-color ad and brochure.

Dating Websites

Contracted by Nichesoft LLC to produce website templates for dating sites including prototyping and logo design. Postcard and ad design for company’s TanTrack and BeautyTrack software/hardware products. Design, as well as, copy writing and editing for tradeshow panel displays.

Wireless Communications Website

Served as an all-purpose marketing designer & webmaster for updates across corporate websites utilizing Microsoft Access and Secure CRT. Communicated with members of the marketing team to facilitate collaboration and review of all website content. Managed and organized the directory structure of both the HTTP and FTP sites. Designed banner ads, graphics for headings, buttons and for inclusion in web pages, as well as, shot photography for illustrative graphics. Designed and HTML-coded Web promotional pages. Produced and distributed HTML e-newsletters to customers and prospects targeting specific age groups. Print advertising design includes billboards, trade show displays, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, and mailers/flyers. Contracted from 2000-2001.
